School Name: Caroline Robins Community School, Saskatoon

Campaign Name: Tackling Waste at CRCS

Campaign Description: We are working hard to reduce waste at our school. We compost our organic waste, we help each other do a better job of recycling, and our earth ranger group tries hard to bring waste free lunches. We celebrated Earth Day on Friday, April 28th by having the whole school participate in an assembly and earthy activities. Please check out our photos which we will post as soon as possible.

Campaign Results: The children in our school are now aware of the need to do everything we can to reduce our waste. We involved the community by having guest speakers come in to help us with our composting and to help us work on the Yellow Fish Road project. We participated in EarthPLAY for Earth Day, modelling how to use left over materials like tires, cardboard, large spools, ropes, tubes and other loose parts in new and creative ways through free play.
